Hawassa City FC sign Eritrea’s Ali Sulieman

Eritrean international Ali Sulieman Ibrahim has officially joined Hawassa City FC in the Ethiopian Premier League. Known for his standout performance as one of the top scorers at the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup 2019 in Uganda, Ibrahim made the move from Bahir Dar Kenema FC on Friday.

While his former team ended the season in 12th place, Hawassa City FC showcased their potential by finishing 4th in the league. Meanwhile, St. George claimed the title as champions of the 2021/2022 Ethiopian Premier League.

In exciting news for the Ethiopian Premier League, fellow Eritrean international Robel Teklemichael has also chosen to extend his contract with Coffee FC.

Additionally, the league continues to bolster its talent pool with players from the CECAFA region, including Uganda’s Charles Lukwago (St. George), Kenya’s Erick Kapiato (Arba Minch City), Uganda’s Chrizestom Ntambi (Sedama Coffee), and Derrick Nsibambi, all contributing to the growing competitiveness in the league.
